Bluetooth Low Energy, usually called BLE, has become one of the most practical technologies for temperature monitoring in modern cold chain, healthcare, food service, laboratories, retail, and distributed facility environments. It is not the only way to collect temperature data, and it is not the right fit for every scenario, but for many teams it offers an attractive balance of cost, convenience, deployment speed, and operational visibility.
BLE tags and USB data loggers both have a place in modern temperature monitoring. The right choice depends on what your operation is trying to optimize. If the priority is familiar, after-the-fact evidence, USB may be enough. If the priority is usability, visibility, and deployment efficiency, BLE usually has a stronger case.
A working monitoring system connects devices, people, thresholds, actions, and records into one process. When that process is well designed, temperature data becomes useful.
